Yarn bombed wooden sticks [D.I.Y.]

At this time of year (Spring in Denmark) it's not easy growing Spring flowers in pots outside. The visiting pheasants from the wild enjoy eating the fresh leaves and pulling the plants out of the pots.

What they don't like (I hope) is my "Flower substitute": yarnbombed wooden sticks. The patterns are supposed to look like a section of a flower seen from above ... (have a look at the bottom of this post).

D.I.Y.

All you need is:
• Wooden sticks
I've used sticks from a willow fence from my parents garden
• Yarn
I've used NO.1 acrylic
• Scissors

This is how you start:

When you change color:
Repeat the start (A+B+C).
If you're going to use the former color later
on the stick, keep it underneath the new color (D)...

Have fun!

This is what my new "flowers" look like.
Photos of the natural flowers added to give you a hint ...

From the left to the right:
Forget-me-not, Pansy, Poppy, Daffodil, Daisy,
Pansy, Rose mallow.

What do you think?

And this is how I use the sticks ...

Like it?
